Our Namesake
Jerome Andres — A Legacy of Care & Community
In the mid-1970s, the space that now houses The Jerome began its evolution when Coast to Coast Hardware expanded into the adjacent storefront. By 1980, Jerome Andres—a second-generation Delano resident—had taken the helm of the family hardware business. For decades, he poured meticulous care into the building, checking in daily to tend to its upkeep and safeguard its character—even after the store eventually moved out and the structure stood vacant.
Preserving a Community Treasure
Jerome’s unwavering pride in this Bridge Avenue property left a lasting impression. During the seven-year restoration journey, the building’s original charm was uncovered—the same charm Jerome had respected and nurtured. It was clear this space deserved a name that honored that legacy.
A Name with Meaning
To acknowledge Jerome’s lifelong dedication to this historic Delano icon—and his deep connection to the community—the renovated event center was named The Jerome. It stands as a tribute to one man’s commitment to preserving a place that generations have called home
